Biography of Police Assistant Marcy Meyer After working for the Chisago County Sheriff's Department as a transcriptionist and as a legal secretary for a law firm, Marcy was hired by the North Branch Police Department in 1999 as a police assistant. She is the administrative secretary to the chief of police and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office, supervision of work flow, keeping updated on State/BCA regulations, working with the senior group TRIAD assisting with department sponsored events, etc. Marcy is always happy to assist you, as she is the first one you talk to when you call the police department. Marcy grew up in Duluth and still has a passion for Lake Superior. She enjoys traveling around the area and keeping up with her grandchildren. Marcy loves to read, sew and always has a project in the works.
Biography of Police Assistant Kathy Minnichsoffer Kathy has worked for a North Branch Police Department as a Police Assistant for over five years. As an assistant, she transcribes most of the officers' reports as well as victim/witness statements. She is also responsible for coding reports for the BCA, assembling the paperwork that the reports generate and seeing that all government entities (county attorney/state) received all required documentation. Daily responsibilities include answering phones, greeting the public, filing, printing photos and helping out with community events such as Pedal for Police, National Night Out, and our Annual Bike Rodeo. Prior to North Branch, Kathy spent eight years as a transcriber for Chisago County Social Services/Child Protection, two years for Public Health and five years as secretary/transcriptionist with the Sheriff's Department. Kathy loves her job with law enforcement and enjoys working with a wonderful group of people.
